About the facility
Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
About the role
In this role, the successful applicant will work under the supervision of Audiologists, and be supported by other Allied Health Assistants in a multidisciplinary approach to patient centred care.
Training of the successful applicant will be available in:
Primary health care & education on ear and hearing health
Use of technology to screen for ear and hearing health problems in adults and children
Ensuring inpatients can hear well to participate in shared decision making with other health professionals
Helping inpatients with hearing devices when problems are identified
Supporting the audiology team administratively with referral intake and clinic maintenance
