About the Role:
This is a part-time, ongoing position at 45.6 hours per fortnight (0.6EFT) working Wednesday-Friday.
Working alongside dietitians and as part of the Home Enteral Nutrition (HEN) team, you will provide clinical and administrative support across inpatient and outpatient services, including delivering nutrition education, supporting discharge planning, providing enteral feeding pump training and assisting with specialist nutrition programs.
This is a dynamic and varied role suited to a motivated Allied Health Assistant who enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will contribute to the coordination of the HEN Program, Oral Supplement Program and Nutrition NDIS service, support clinic preparation and follow-up activities, maintain clinical equipment and stock, and assist with quality improvement initiatives. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a commitment to family-centred care are essential.

Classification for this position is governed by Award 04 - Health and Allied Services and is classified at IN30 - Allied Health Assistant Grade 3, $34.60/hr, $68,384.16 per annum, pro rata for part-time, plus Superannuation.

About the Department:
The Department of Nutrition and Food Services incorporates the clinical dietetic service, the Main Kitchen that caters for inpatient meals and the Central Formula Room that produces formula, enteral feeds and fortifies expressed breast milk to meet the nutritional needs of patients. We are a registered NDIS Nutrition service to provide disability-related nutrition supports to eligible patients. We also support a large number of families on our Home Enteral Nutrition Program.
The Nutrition and Food Services Department sits within the Allied Health and Digital Directorate in the organisational structure at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
