About the role:
The MHAOD Connect service provides timely and effective community based post-discharge support for up to six weeks for individuals who present to Sunshine Hospital Emergency Department or Footscray Hospital Emergency Department with Mental Health and/or AOD care concerns. The role is part of Western Health Drug Health Services and works closely with Emergency Department based AOD Clinical Nurse Consultants, Addictions Registrars, Addictions Specialists and AOD Nurse Practitioners as well as Emergency Department staff, including the Emergency Mental Health service. The Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Clinician works as part of the multidisciplinary MHAOD Connect team providing AOD related assessments, counselling interventions and referrals.
