- Providing accurate, timely, and practical advice and support to managers and employees on a broad range of people matters and processes by adopting a business partnering approach, ensuring compliance with the VPS Enterprise Agreement, relevant legislation, industrial instruments, and People and Capability policies, processes, and guidelines.
- Building collaborative relationships to understand stakeholder needs, deliver tailored people solutions, and supporting the early intervention and local resolution of people matters
- Coordinating and managing core people processes including but not limited to mobility, onboarding, probation, performance and development planning, position management, wellbeing and offboarding ensuring legislative and policy requirements and processes are met.
- Coordinating and contributing to the delivery of People and Capability initiatives, projects and process improvements with an aim to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of HR practices and user experience.
- Working cohesively and collaboratively across the team to ensure optimum stakeholder engagement and service excellence delivery, with a solution focused approach to problem solving.
- Developing and coordinating memos, briefs and business cases in relation to operational and people matters, including correspondence, reports and deliver presentations and information sessions on people matters.
Reporting to the Team Leader, People Advisory Services, the Advisor, People and Capability plays a key role in providing timely, accurate, and practical HR advice and guidance to employees and managers across VIDA Roads. The role also supports the Manager and Senior Business Partner, People and Capability in delivering high-quality, contemporary HR services and initiatives.
Working across the full employee lifecycle, the Advisor, People & Capability provides generalist HR support in areas including mobility, position management, onboarding, probation & performance management, policy interpretation, and offboarding, ensuring consistent, compliant, and people-focused outcomes. With a strong focus on improving core HR services, the role will streamline processes and embed a people-centric approach to enhance the employee experience.
About You
- A relevant tertiary degree in Business, Commerce, Psychology or other HR related discipline would be well regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in a hands-on HR generalist role, with a strong understanding of best practice approaches and the ability to interpret and apply legislative and policy requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is highly desirable.
This is a 2 year fixed term opportunity.
