About this Opportunity
The Advisor, Industry Capability provides project delivery, coordination and stakeholder support for programs that grow and develop Victoria’s infrastructure workforce.
This is a dynamic, public-facing role with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and end-to-end program and event delivery. You’ll play a key role in delivering education and employment initiatives including; school engagement programs, industry cadetships, and workforce development activities.
Working as part of a small, collaborative team, you’ll help design, coordinate and deliver programs that connect students, jobseekers and industry to real career pathways in infrastructure.
You will:
• Support the planning, coordination and delivery of industry capability programs and education initiatives
• Facilitate workshops, presentations and engagement sessions with a range of audiences including students, educators, jobseekers and industry stakeholders
• Manage end-to-end event logistics, including scheduling, stakeholder coordination, venues, materials and on-the-day delivery
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, schools, training providers, and government stakeholders
• Provide timely support to program participants and respond to enquiries via shared inboxes
• Contribute to program design, continuous improvement and evaluation activities
• Support governance and administration, including meeting coordination, documentation and reporting
• Maintain accurate program data, participant records and tracking systems
• Assist with procurement processes, supplier coordination and invoice management
About You
You’re an operator who is strategic, credible, and delivery‑minded. Able to work across boundaries and turn ambiguity into forward motion.
You’ll bring:
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs or events simultaneously
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management
• Confidence facilitating workshops, presentations or group sessions (experience in learning & development or training environments highly regarded)
• Experience supporting or delivering programs, events, or education initiatives end-to-end
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• A proactive, adaptable approach with a focus on continuous improvement
• Experience in administration, coordination or program support roles
Highly regarded:
• Experience working in education, training, workforce development or L&D environments
• Understanding of the VET or higher education sectors
