About the Role
In this role, you will work as a member of a small team to support your own group of stakeholders within the Department. You will provide stakeholders with meaningful strategic advice on funding trends, business case development and the criticality of different infrastructure and service delivery priorities. You will work with your stakeholders to understand their funding needs and priorities in the short to medium term, and you will provide advice on the timing, packaging, scaling or sequencing of proposed budget bids taking into account likely funding capacity constraints. You will provide holistic guidance and support to business case authors on the development of robust business cases for proposed investments.
You will have the ability to interpret data and develop insights, to seamlessly adapt to ambiguity and competing priorities in a fluid and changing environment; and to work closely and collaboratively with colleagues within the Division, and with stakeholders across the department.
Role specific requirements –
This role may involve evening or weekend work during the period of the State Budget lodgement cycle, which typically occurs from mid-January to early February although the timing may differ year-to-year.

The successful candidate must support the assessment and delivery of transport investments by conducting analysis, preparing high-quality advice and reports, collaborating with stakeholders, and contributing to project and team outcomes. They need to work collaboratively within project teams to support divisional processes and contribute to successful delivery of initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications in transport and / or engineering, finance, project management or public policy will be highly regarded.
