About the role:
The Administration / Property Officer role provides an essential service supporting the everyday running of police stations within the Macedon Ranges Police Service Area (PSA). Two positions available one situated at Kyneton Police Complex & one at Gisborne Police Station. However, you may be required to work at other locations within Macedon Ranges PSA. Other police stations within the PSA include Kyneton, Gisborne, Romsey, Woodend, Lancefield, Malmsbury, Macedon and Riddells Creek.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:
• Performing a range of administrative functions including the maintenance and management of various email accounts, records and registers (manual and computerised) within Western Region Division 5.
• Preparing of a wide range of routine correspondence, financial, personnel, statistical and other various types of transactions and ensure appropriate follow-up action is taken when required.
• Management and administration of storage of the Station and PSA lost and confiscated property and confidential documentation.
• Attending meetings as required for minute recording and dissemination.
• Recording and management of physical documents including briefs of evidence, reports and files.
• Responding to telephone and counter enquiries from both internal and external key stakeholders.
• Receiving, recording and distributing mail and other distribution/transportation functions as required.
About you:
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
• Proven administrative experience particularly in relation to word processing and data entry.
• An understanding of archiving systems.
• Well-developed written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to deal effectively with both internal and external key stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritise work and meet required timeframes.
• Adaptable with ability to move between work locations on a regular basis.
• Ability to work within a team environment and autonomously.
• An understanding of the customer service requirements of the position and a demonstrated record of commitment and achievement in meeting customer needs.
• History of ethical behaviour with commitment to the Victoria Police Code of Ethics and Conduct, Financial Code of Practice, and the Organisational Values.

• Two (2) x full-time, ongoing positions available.
• Position 1 is located at Kyneton Police Complex, 16 Jennings Street, Kyneton, but may require duties to be performed at other police stations within Macedon Ranges PSA.
• Position 2 is located at Gisborne Police Station, 35 Robertson Street, Gisborne, but may require duties to be performed at other police stations within Macedon Ranges PSA.
• Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
• The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
