We have multiple Youth Employment Scheme (YES) positions within the Common Corporate Support Branch (CCSB) as an Administration Support Officer Trainee, commencing in June 2026.
The Youth Employment Scheme is a Victorian Government initiative that gives young Victorians an opportunity to commence a career in government and community services. YES traineeships are 12 months (for full time employees) and provides the young person an opportunity to combine practical experience in the role, alongside professional training provided by a Registered Training Organisation. For this position, the professional training will be a Certificate III in Business.

About the role:
The Administration Support Officer Trainee is a valued member of the Common Corporate Support Branch (CCSB). CCSB provide timely support to staff within the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing and the Department of Health, as well as each department's Statutory Bodies and Administration Agencies.
As a Trainee you will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of business related administrative and customer service skills across various service streams. Tasks will include data entry, basic accounting, processing transactions, answer Outlook email enquiries, handling telephone calls, customer service, asset management, asset configuration, handling physical mail, scanning documentation, records management, organising supplies and overall contributing to service delivery.
The CCSB teams do review and monitor processes in place and recommend changes to the way we work across the departments to drive efficiency in our work. It's therefore important that the Administration Support Officer Trainee is passionate about service delivery and comfortable working within an environment where processes might change.
