About the role The Administration Officer - Maternity Services, provides frontline reception and administrative support to women, families and visitors accessing maternity services. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient patient registration, accurate documentation and high-quality customer service, while working collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to support safe and positive care experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver consumer-centred, courteous reception and customer service, ensuring confidentiality, accurate patient registration, and a welcoming experience for women, families, and visitors.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, maintaining clear and professional communication to support effective patient flow and positive consumer outcomes.
Maintain accurate data entry, documentation, and audits while complying with Barwon Health policies, privacy, information management legislation, and mandatory training requirements.
Use clinical and administrative systems (iPM, BOSSnet, Birthing Outcomes System) appropriately, identifying and reporting data issues to support safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
