Administration Officer – Cancer Imaging / ProsTIC
Fixed Term, Part-Time (64 hours per fortnight / 4 days per week)

Join the Prostate Cancer Theranostics and Imaging Centre of Excellence (ProsTIC)—a world-leading prostate cancer research program led by Professor Michael Hofman. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative cancer research that is transforming patient care.
We’re seeking a Senior Research Administration Officer to support the Director and Program Manager in their vital work. This is a fast-paced and varied role where no two days are the same.
In this role, you will:
• Manage key administrative tasks and correspondence
• Assist with grant applications and reporting
• Support budgeting, reimbursements, and financial tracking
• Coordinate travel arrangements for local and international conferences
• Manage and update our website and social media channels (LinkedIn, YouTube, X)
• Help plan and execute international conferences, workshops, and webinars
• Support executive reporting and communications with Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre leadership
• Foster strong relationships across our multidisciplinary team
We’re looking for someone who can anticipate needs, streamline processes, and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. Your work will directly support a team at the forefront of clinical and laboratory research in prostate cancer, helping to drive innovation and improve patient outcomes.
About you:
• Proven experience in administrative or executive support roles
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Confident working with financial systems and managing budgets
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable managing digital platforms and social media
• A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine interest in healthcare or research
