Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission. The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is the first level of the Victorian court system and is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria. It has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 locations, equating to approximately 90 percent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible, and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
Are you an organised and customer-focused professional looking to support the daily operations of the Court? We are seeking an Administrative Officer to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality administrative and reception services.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Administrative Officer provides essential support to the Court's daily operations. This includes front-of-house reception duties, data entry, records management, and general administrative support. You'll be the first point of contact for many stakeholders and play a vital role in ensuring smooth and professional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Respond to telephone and in-person enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
• Provide timely administrative support including data entry, filing, archiving, and records management.
• Perform general office duties such as photocopying, scanning, mail distribution, and ordering supplies.
• Maintain accurate records, spreadsheets, and resource manuals.
• Support the team in meeting operational objectives and deadlines.

You are a proactive and reliable team player with strong organisational skills and a commitment to service excellence. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering high-quality administrative support. Your other strengths will include:
• Proficient in word processing, email, scheduling, and internet/intranet use.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
• Able to identify issues and suggest practical solutions.
