This is an exciting opportunity to work for the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) and ensure the quality of training in Victoria. The VRQA is Victoria's education and training regulator.
The VRQA's role is includes:
- Registering school education providers
- School boarding premises
- Home schooling
- Vocational education and training (VET) providers that deliver accredited training to domestic students in Victoria only, or Victoria and Western Australia only
-Employers of apprentices and trainees
- Group Training Organisations (GTOs)
- Course accreditation.
The role supports the VET and Industry Engagement team that is responsible for the registration and regulation of registered training organisations, GTOs, and course accreditation.
This role will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative support of the VET and Industry Engagement team including application processing, data entry and record keeping. The role is responsible for the main phone line and email inbox The Administration Officer collaborates with a range of stakeholders including prospective and registered training organisations (RTOs) and group training organisations (GTOs)
The role requires :
- Excellent computer skills with the ability to operate customer relationship management systems
- Good planning and organising skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A customer focused approach with the ability to interact with a variety of people
- Attendance in the office 3 days per week as per Department of Education policy.
The position reports to the Manager, VET and Industry Engagement.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Experience using databases is essential.
