Join the Inner Melbourne Community Mental Health Team – a dynamic new service within the RMH Mental Health Service (RMH MHS), delivering innovative, person-centred care across Carlton, North Melbourne, and the CBD.
As a key member of this team, you’ll be part of an initiative implementing the Open Dialogue Model of Care—a holistic, relationship-focused approach being delivered as part of a translational research project led by the Victorian Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing. This unique team brings together clinical professionals and peer support workers with lived and living experience, ensuring that families, carers, and support networks are engaged from the very start of a person’s journey with the service.

About the role:
An integral role in providing a positive experience of service to consumers and their carers, family, kin and supporters. You will:
- Provide excellent person-centred service at front of house and Switchboard
- Support clinical teams, management and executive with a range of administrative tasks
- Assist the service to meet its mandatory reporting obligations
- Provide administration assistance to all staff in the service, including but not limited to, arranging interpreters, fleet cars, maintenance requests, room bookings, file requests, data entry, meeting support and appointment bookings
- Support the services’ effective use of Digital Health systems, including but not limited to Epic EMR, iPM, CMI/ODS and local databases
- Provide support and cover for any tasks or roles within the team where required, including working from different locations within the service
- Ensure information is processed in accordance with statutory reporting deadlines
About you:
Essential
- Previous administrative experience within a hospital or health setting
- Proficiency in workflow and document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Outlook, Microsoft Office Suites)
- Strong organisational and time management skills, allowing you to effectively prioritise tasks, manage competing deadlines, and keep workflows running smoothly
- High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in your work, particularly when handling documentation, reporting, or complex processes
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, approaching challenges with a logical mindset and developing practical solutions that improve efficiency and outcomes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Desirable
- Working knowledge of CMI/ODS, Epic, iPM or similar patient information systems.
