Position Purpose
The primary purpose of the position is one of communications, marketing and school publicity.
The position is also responsible for being the EA to the Executive team, along with being back-up and support to other positions within the Administration team. These may include Reception duties, Accounts, House Office Support, and First-aid.
It is expected that they will provide a high level of customer service to students, staff, families and visitors to the School and be competent in the provision of up-to-date data and relevant information.
Attendance requirement for this position is full time, 38 hrs per week, however, could be less on negotiation. The position reports to the Business Manager.

Geelong High School is a Year 7 - 12 co-educational school located near the centre of Geelong "The City by the Bay", and adjacent to a significant parkland area. Established in 1910, Geelong High School is one of the oldest secondary schools in the region. It has a proud history, celebrating its centenary in 2010, and is held in high regard by the Geelong community.
Current enrolment is approximately 975 students, drawn mainly from the nearby areas of East and South Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and across Geelong. The Leadership Team comprises a Principal, three Assistant Principals, the Business Manager, IT Manager and eight Leading Teachers. There are approximately 110 staff, of whom 75 are teaching staff.

All students are actively involved in the house system and the student management and welfare of students is centred on this structure. Student leadership is an integral part of the school culture.
