- 1. Demonstrated Administrative Skills
 Proven ability to manage administrative tasks including record-keeping, scheduling, correspondence, and document preparation in a busy school environment.
- 2. ICT and Data Management
 Competence in using a range of software (e.g. Microsoft Office, CASES21, Compass or equivalent systems) to maintain accurate records, track attendance/engagement data, and prepare reports.
- 3. Organisational and Time Management Skills
 Strong ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing demands with accuracy and attention to detail.
- 4. Communication and Interpersonal Skills
 Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff, parents, and external contacts in a supportive and confidential manner.
- 5. Ability to Work Collaboratively in a Team Environment
 Capacity to work as part of the Wellbeing and Engagement team, supporting Student Managers, counsellors, and leaders, while also working independently when required.
Role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Student Wellbeing and Engagement teams, including Assistant Principals, Student Managers and the Leading Teachers of Engagement and Wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student wellbeing and engagement records in line with school policies. (not including wellbeing counselling records).
- Support attendance and engagement monitoring processes through data entry, reporting, and communication follow-up.
- Assist in scheduling meetings, parent forums, programs, camps, excursions and student engagement activities.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and documents as directed by the Wellbeing and Engagement leadership team.
- Liaise with parents and external services regarding scheduling and information exchange, under direction of leadership staff.
- Support logistics for wellbeing and engagement events such as assemblies, programs, and information evenings.
- Undertake general office duties including filing, photocopying, and document management for SEW and teaching staff (where possible)
- Flexibility for adjusted working hours during key times of the year, such as subject selection, parent information evenings or VCAA exams.
- Printing of Exams in conjunction with Pathways Assistant
- Support the process of missed SACs, resits and redemptions processes.
- Contribute to the production of the college newsletter.
- General tasks around the college in times where specific work related to this role may not be required.
- Other duties as directed by the Principal or delegate.
 
This Position Description may be altered from time to time to meet the operational needs of the School.
Responsibilities
	- Provide routine clerical or other administrative support responsibilities including general telephone, front office enquiries, mail deliveries, assisting with stock control, supporting organisation of meetings, receiving and initial processing of standard paperwork
- Maintain, enter and retrieve data from the schools IT systems, such as the school's records system, including computerised student, staff and school records
- Maintain and update office records, enrolment data, diary records, and basic written records
- Support or coordinate the preparation of standard routine internal and external communication according to school procedures (e.g. form letters, newsletters)
- Source basic data or factual information from given sources to support school administrative functions, e.g. books, reports, manuals, catalogues, tables, forms, etc.
- Coordinate the delivery of administrative services within the school
- In consultation with the principal, determine and manage work priorities within the school office
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure effective administration procedures
- Coordinate the implementation of requisitioning, purchasing and issuing procedures
- Manage client reception and office operations
- Liaise with school staff in regard to support requirements
- Coordinate staff timetabling
- Undertakes VASS and/or VET administration support
- Supports the first aid facilities and assists in delivering first aid to students

Location Profile
School Profile
Homestead Senior Secondary College opened in 2020 and is located in a developing area of Point Cook, approximately 28 kilometres from Melbourne CBD. Our feeder schools are the local P-9 colleges ¿ Alamanda and Saltwater P-9 Colleges. A significant percentage of our enrolments are new arrivals to the greater Point Cook community. Homestead also attracts a growing number of enrolments from the independent school¿s sector. Rapid growth is predicted for both the suburb and school over the next 5 to 10 years. 
 
In 2025 we expect approximately 600 students at HSSC, and it is projected that the college¿s peak enrolment will be in excess of 1500 students. In addition to this, we expect to be supporting approximately 600 students from Saltwater P-9 at years 7-9 on the Homestead site while Saltwater undergoes major capital works to increase capacity on their site.
 
The foundation years of the college focused upon building social capital, creating structures and practices, purchasing resources and establishing staff professional learning teams.
