Attendance requirement for this position is four days per week during school terms, with daily hours of 8:00am to 4:00pm (by negotiation). Some flexibility may be required to support school operations during peak periods.
An education support class position at this range will perform tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice, and school policy under supervision and direction. This may include coordination of other education support class staff within the work area or educational program.
An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students but must not include duties of a teacher as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. Supervision of students can be required individually or in groups up to 4 in controlled circumstances and where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.
Certification and/or qualifications of up to three years can be required at this level (noting that Registered Nurse is not included at this level, the first level for which is Level 1 range 3).

An education support class position at this range commencing at the base will initially be limited to undertaking routine tasks that are carried out under close supervision and direction. Work that carries some degree of independence will generally involve a limited number of tasks performed on a regular basis where priorities are clear, procedures are well established, and direction is readily available. Subject to any specific qualification and/or training requirement, an education support class employee employed in this range may be progressively required to undertake coordination, specialised student/teacher support tasks, or technical tasks as experience in the role is gained.
Operate under the direction of the Business Manager to deliver accurate and compliant accounts receivable processes in line with Department of Education Finance Policy and Procedures.
Efficiently and accurately process parent payments, incursions, excursions and camps, ensuring appropriate authorisation and segregation of duties.
Proficient use of CASES21 Accounts Receivable.
Set up annual Parent Payments in Compass Billing in consultation with the Business Manager.
Establish and maintain fee codes for events, excursions and camps in CASES21, ensuring consistency with approved budgets.
Review events, excursions and camps in Compass and escalate discrepancies or issues to the Business Manager for approval.
Receipt all cash and EFTPOS payments accurately, complete daily reconciliations, and report variances to the Business Manager.
Produce, interpret and provide financial reports to the Business Manager, including family transaction histories, matching transaction reports and family statements.
Manage CSEF transactions, including allocation of balances and responding to parent enquiries, in line with Business Manager guidance.
Manage School Saving Bonus (SSB) transactions, including allocation of balances and responding to parent enquiries, escalating complex matters as required.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records, including Excel tracking spreadsheets, to support monitoring and audit requirements.
Manage payment plan enquiries in accordance with school procedures and Business Manager direction.
Record and process payments received via CompassPay, with oversight from the Business Manager.
Prepare Financial Summaries and Profit & Loss statements for camps, excursions and fundraising activities for review by the Business Manager.
Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and systems in collaboration with the Business Manager.
Manage student enrolments and exits in accordance with DET policy and school procedures.
Maintain accurate enrolment records in CASES21 and Compass.
Support enrolment processes for temporary international students, ensuring compliance with documentation and data requirements.
Respond to enrolment enquiries from families in a professional and timely manner.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all student records.
Compass School Manager AdministrationMaintain and manage data integrity within Compass School Manager.
Support billing, events, permissions and attendance functions.
Assist staff and families with Compass-related enquiries.
Ensure alignment of data between Compass and CASES21 systems.
Records and AdministrationMaintain effective electronic and paper-based filing systems.
Accurately enter, update and retrieve data across multiple platforms.
Generate reports as required to support school operations.
As part of the administration team, answer incoming calls, greet visitors, and support general reception operations as required.
Greet relief staff and outline their assigned duties for the day, as per the plan provided by the school¿s daily organiser.
Assist with student first aid as required.
