About the role
This is an opportunity for dynamic General Psychiatrists, Addiction Psychiatrists and Addiction Medicine Specialists to join the Addiction Medicine team at Western Health.
The Specialist Addiction Services of Western Health offer innovative and diverse programs including Dual Diagnosis Services, Residential Services, Custodial Programs, Specialist Outpatient Programs, Youth & Family Services and Hospital Inpatient Addiction Medicine Services. We provide specialist services for patient groups marked by significant trauma and marginalisation, and a broad range of co-existing and complex needs. Addiction Medicine and Psychiatry consultants support patients and staff across these programs by providing expert clinical care and clinical direction.
The successful applicants will join Victoria's largest Addiction Medicine team of eight consultants, eight registrars, three HMOs and six nurse practitioners.
Consultants are currently being recruited for a role at Sunshine Addiction Medicine Consultation & Liaison Team.

Western Health also provides the primary healthcare service at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a women’s prison located in Ravenhall.
