About the role
The Aboriginal Programs team at South West Healthcare is looking for a passionate Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander person to join as Aboriginal Liaison Officers (ALOs). In this role, you will assist patients and families understand their care needs, hospital procedures, and treatment options. You will support patients in talking with health professionals, making sure they understand their medical care and are involved in decisions about it.
You will also have the chance to assist with the development of programs that benefit the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community. The job involves working in both hospital and community settings to create and implement programs that improve overall health and address specific needs.
