About the Role
As an Aboriginal Engagement and Outreach Coordinator at DGS, you will play a key role in supporting the department’s delivery of culturally safe and inclusive government services.
The Aboriginal Engagement and Outreach Coordinator conducts community outreach and engagement activities with the Victorian Aboriginal community, including Victorian Aboriginal community organisations and Traditional Owner Corporations. The Coordinator works to improve awareness of, and access to, Births, Deaths and Marriages Victoria (BDM) and other government services through proactive relationship-building and contributing to strategic plans to achieve the department’s objectives.
The Coordinator is also responsible for a range of administrative functions associated with project planning and delivery, including conducting initial research and analysis of data.

The role will require regional travel, including overnight stays.
