About the role
The 12-month Unaccredited Urology Registrar position is aimed at Registrars who are pursuing a career in Urological Surgery. We are looking for two full-time applicants in 2027. Applicants should have an interest in applying for the Surgical Education and Training (SET) program of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. This Registrar position will provide a broad range of experience in managing both common and complex urological conditions.
The successful applicants will regularly participate in after-hours, on-call and recall roster of the unit. The unaccredited registrar will be trained to perform basic urological procedures, competently assist with robotic cases and run weekly flexible cystoscopy lists independently.
The unit runs a regular research meeting, providing abundant and well supported, supervised opportunities for research publications to help with SET applications.
