About the role
The Unaccredited Radiation Oncology Registrar provides high-quality clinical support across outpatient clinics, inpatient care and multidisciplinary coordination. The role includes conducting patient assessments in consultant-led clinics, contributing to radiation therapy treatment planning and ensuring accurate and timely clinical documentation.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of oncology inpatients, including reviewing patients, organising investigations, escalating clinical concerns appropriately and supporting safe transitions of care. The role places a strong emphasis on effective communication and collaboration across medical, surgical, nursing and allied health teams to deliver integrated, patient-centred cancer care.
The position offers an exceptional training environment with close consultant supervision, regular teaching and exposure to complex oncological care, providing ideal preparation for those pursuing the RANZCR training program. You will gain broad clinical experience across outpatient and inpatient settings within a multidisciplinary cancer service.
The role is based at the Andrew Love Cancer Centre (ALCC), a leading cancer service within Barwon Health delivering integrated radiation oncology, medical oncology, haematology and supportive care services in a modern, purpose-built facility. The Centre is recognised for its collaborative approach, strong research focus and commitment to safe, high-quality patient care.
