About the Facility – Department of Anaesthesia
The Department of Anaesthesia, Perioperative and Pain Medicine, currently employs approximately 70 Anaesthetic Consultants and 24 Anaesthetic Registrars. We support 17 operating theatres as well as a number of ‘off the floor’ locations.
A wide range of Clinical Anaesthetic services are provided including: Regional Anaesthesia and Ultrasound, Obstetric and Paediatric Services, Cardiac Anaesthesia (including Transoesophageal Echocardiography) and a benchmark perioperative service (including CPET). The department has a strong commitment to excellence in clinical, education and research activities and a strong focus on preparing senior trainees for consultant practice.
About the Role – Accredited Anaesthetic Trainee (maternity leave cover)
Applications are invited for the position of accredited anaesthetic trainee to cover a 12-month maternity leave position from February 2026 to February 2027.
Applicants must be ANZCA accredited or eligible.
