About the role: 2 x Senior Project Officers
The Senior Project Officer, plays a vital role in delivering high-impact projects that support a safer, more person-centred health system across Victoria. Operating within the Clinical Leadership Program team, this role works under the leadership of the Manager, Clinical Leadership Programs and collaborates closely with Victoria's Chief Clinical Officers, clinical leaders, program teams, and external stakeholders.
As a strategic delivery partner, the Senior Project Officer is responsible for coordinating and supporting a portfolio of complex and strategic initiatives spanning clinical and professional practice, safety, governance, and capability initiatives that emerge from system-level responses led by the Chief Clinical Officers. This includes leading end-to-end project planning and delivery, managing interdependent workstreams, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and contributing to strategic alignment across SCV's safety and improvement agenda.
The role requires high-level project management expertise, a sound understanding of clinical governance and health system improvement, and a strong commitment to human-centred and evidence-informed approaches. Working in a dynamic, matrixed environment, the Clinical Leadership Programs Senior Project Officer supports the translation of strategic intent into operational action—ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable impact.
The Senior Project Officer contributes to a high-performing, psychologically safe team culture by modelling SCV's values, fostering collaboration, and supporting continuous improvement in project delivery frameworks and capability. Through this work, the role helps build a connected, capable, and consumer-centred safety system—strengthening Victoria's capacity to deliver safe, high-quality care for all.
