About the role:

The Project Officer works as a member of the Improvement branch with responsibility for supporting the delivery of targeted improvement projects aligned to the strategic objectives of the Improvement Branch and aimed at improving the safety and quality of healthcare in Victoria.
Working in a fast-paced environment and in partnership with clinicians, consumers and other members of the project team, the project officer applies highly developed communication, project management and administrative skills to ensure the professional delivery of SCV improvement projects.
The role reports to the Manager, Quality Use of Medicines Improvement Team and will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support delivery of the Improvement Branch initiatives, as well as supporting the branch to deliver against the SCV Corporate Plan and strategic objectives.

The Project Officer supports the delivery of improvement initiatives as part of the broader Value Based Health Care Team, applying project management and administrative skills to ensure the professional delivery of SCV work to external and internal stakeholders
This role requires the capacity to develop effective ongoing relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to drive priority improvement work. The role will involve the coordination of steering committees, event planning and project reporting.
The successful applicant will demonstrate capability for systems thinking and a proven ability to engage others, to manage projects and ensure agreed timeframes and outcomes are met.
