The graduate program recruits on behalf of the 10 government departments and agencies, providing graduates with a pathway into public service. You’ll work in different roles over 12-months with structured training and networking to support your development.

With a starting salary of $68,408 plus super, you’ll move into an ongoing position and receive a pay rise to $83,941 plus super on successful completion.
We offer hybrid working arrangements and flexible work and all roles are based in Victoria with the majority in Melbourne’s CBD.
Our program offers 4 streams aligned to your qualifications and career interests:
You’ve completed your undergraduate or post graduate degree (Australian Qualifications Framework 7 or above) between 1 January 2024 and 1 January 2027.
You’re an Australian citizen or permanent resident (applications in progress are not eligible and not be on a temporary visa)
You’re available for fulltime employment from February 2027.
You consent to police and pre-employment checks
You’ve not received a redundancy from the Victorian Public Service in the last three years.
